§ Mr. David Priceasked the Secretary of State for the Environment if he will now seek powers to provide that when the regional water authorities take over the duty of collecting water and sewerage rates from the local authorities they will not impose the relevant rate charge upon those householders whose hereditaments are not connected to the public sewerage system.
§ Mr. Denis HowellMy right hon. Friend has already indicated his intention to secure that some relief for water charges for next year is given to properties not connected to public sewers. This is a separate matter from the direct collection of water charges by water authorities.
