HC Deb 13 November 1974 vol 881 cc171-3W
Mr. Raison

asked the Secretary of State for Prices and Consumer Protection by

Mr. Orme

The information up to 30th June 1974 is as follows:

Limavady and Coleraine District Council areas respectively are in progress or in an advanced stage of planning.

It is estimated that the number of Housing Executive houses in these areas which lack an internal we or a fixed bath in a bathroom is as follows:

and Limavady, and the rural district councils of Londonderry, Limavady and Coleraine, were upgraded by the provision of toilets and bathrooms in each area.

Mr. Orme

The number of public sector dwellings provided with w.cs and baths or showers in each area during the last three years for which the commission and the former local authorities were responsible is as follows:

what percentage the items encompassed by the voluntary agreement with the retail trade have collectively risen in price since the agreement was introduced; and by what percentage they have risen if items subject to seasonal fluctuation are excluded.

Mr. Maclennan

The list of goods on continuous offer by retailers fell in price by 1.4 per cent. between May and September 1974, the latest month for which figures are available. This compares with a rise in the Retail Prices Index of 3.2 per cent. Excluding seasonal items—home-killed lamb, fresh fruit and vegetables—the collective price of the goods on this list increased by 1 per cent, compared with an increase of 3.5 per cent, in the index of all items less seasonal food.
