The joint Moss Side/Rusholme redevelopment area is at present served by 25 general medical practitioners of whom 13 have surgeries in the area; and by four general dental practitioners, five ophthalmic optician contractors and seven chemist contractors, all with premises within the area. The services are being kept under review by the family practitioner committee. Provision will be made for general ophthalmic and pharmaceutical services as well as general medical practitioners in the health centre being planned in Moss Side.
