§ Mr. Hardyasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer when a further statement about the proposed development land tax will be issued.
§ Mr. DellA statement is being prepared by the Inland Revenue. As my hon. Friend the Minister of State said in reply to a Question by the hon. Member for Melton (Mr. Latham) on 4th November 1974—[Vol. 880, c.50.]—this will be issued as soon as possible and in any case well in advance of the publication of the separate Bill which my right hon. Friend the Chancellor of the Exchequer announced in his recent Budget Statement would be introduced later this Session. In the meantime any representations about the proposed new tax should be made to the Inland Revenue.
