HC Deb 13 November 1974 vol 881 cc131-2W
Mr. Ridley

asked the Secretary of State for the Environment when he expects repayment of the money advanced by the Government to building societies to be completed.

Mr. Freeson

At the present level of building society receipts the repayment formula agreed with participating societies should provide for the £500 million short-term loans to be completely repaid by early within the next financial year.
