Medical Advisory Service is discussing various aspects of problems affecting divers with the Medical Research Council, including the possibility of conducting epidemiological studies. Amongst the projects which receive support by my Department under the arrangements set out in Cmnd. 4814 is a programme of research on decompression sickness directed by Professor Welder of the University of Newcastle-upon-Tyne.
