The cost to date of the Institutions of the EEC to the British taxpayer.

LORD JACQUES

Since joining the Community, Her Majesty's Government have paid £310 million to the Communities' Budget, which finances the Community Institutions. During the same period receipts of some £190 million have been received from the Budget. Her Majesty's Government have also made payments towards the capital and reserves of the European Investment Bank and the European Coal and Steel Community. These have amounted to £34.7 million and £15.8 million respectively.
