§ Mr. John FraserOn 14th October 1974, 1,956 males and 348 females were unemployed in the St. Helens employment office area. The corresponding rates of unemployment for the same area were 5.1 per cent. for males and 2.0 per cent. for females. This area corresponds closely to the St. Helens constituency.
