Mr. Michael Clark Hutchison

asked the Secretary of State for Scotland what assistance he is giving to Mr. R. D. MacRae, Bunessan, Mull, in his experiment in growing Falkland Islands grass or tussock for livestock food.

I have received no approaches from Mr. MacRae. Responsibility for advisory services in agriculture and horticulture in Mull lies with the West of Scotland Agricultural College, and I am assured that the college would be willing to consider any request from Mr. MacRae for advice on this
