§ Mr. Hooleyasked the Minister of Overseas Development what increase in aid, over and above existing commitments, is envisaged in the 1974–75 United Kingdom aid programme for agricultural and rural development in developing countries.
§ Mrs. HartIn the current 1974–75 aid programme existing commitments for assistance to agricultural and rural development are substantial, but any increases which may be requested by overseas Governments are unlikely to be significant in terms of expenditure during the remainder of this financial year. I am giving first priority to agricultural and rural development in developing countries for the future.
