HC Deb 08 November 1974 vol 880 c270W
Mr. Sillars

asked the Secretary of State for Scotland if his Department has received revised plans for improvements to the New Cumnock swimming pool; and if he will now allow this project to start, given that it was approved in principle in November 1973.

Mr. William Ross

Revised plans were received on 17th October and are now being considered. As my hon. Friend the Under-Secretary of State for Health and Education explained in his letter of 25th July, present restrictions on public expenditure make it impossible to authorise a start in 1974–75. I cannot yet say whether a start can be authorised in 1975–76.
