HC Deb 08 November 1974 vol 880 c230W
Mr. Cledwyn Hughes

asked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food what consultations he has had on the report of the O'Brien Committee on the export of live animals; and if he will make a statement.

Mr. Strang

We invited comments on the O'Brien Committee's Report from all interested parties in the United. Kingdom, and these are being studied carefully. This report has international implications and we have discussed it with officials of the Governments who gave the Balfour Assurances. Also we are in touch with the European Commission. Further discussions will be necessary before any further statement can be made.
