§ Mr. Wigleyasked the Secretary of State for Energy what proportion of the £228 million received by the nuclear industry between 1968–69 and 1972–73 by way of Government financing of innovation was expended in Wales.
§ Mr. EadieThis sum largely represents net spending on or by Atomic Energy Authority establishments, of which there are none in Wales. It would not be practicable to ascertain how much of the detailed expenditure involved contracts and subcontracts placed in Wales. So far as the country's total spending on nuclear power is concerned, the hon. Member will recall that two nuclear power stations have been constructed in the Principality.
