asked the Secretary of State for Defence if he will make a statement about the death of Mr. Gibson who served in C Company. NI Militia TA; and what state the inquiries into his death have reached.

At 7.50 p.m. on Monday 21st October 1974 a police patrol found an abandoned laundry van parked at Ballysillan Road, Belfast. At 8.45 p.m. on the same date Belfast police received a report that a body had been found in a derelict house at Velsheda Park, Belfast. a short distance from where the abandoned van had been located. This body was identified as that of Samuel Malcolm Gibson of Lisburn, Co. Antrim, an employee of the laundry company to which the van belonged. The deceased had gunshot wounds to both sides, groin and chest. Police investigations are continuing.
