§ 32. Mr. Thorneasked the Secretary of State for Employment what plans he has for the establishment of Government training centres to assist young school leavers to learn a trade in north-west Lancashire.
§ Mr. Harold WalkerI am informed by the Manpower Services Commission that skillcentres, formerly known as Government training centres, mainly provide accelerated vocational training for adults. The prime responsibility for providing craft training for young school leavers rests with employers, with the support of the industrial training boards.
