HC Deb 05 November 1974 vol 880 c92W
23. Mr. Gwilym Roberts

asked the Secretary of State for Employment what investigations his Department has carried out into the problem of cancer risks in industry; and if he will make a statement.

Mr. Harold Walker

The problem of cancer in industry is being kept under constant review by my employment medical advisers and Inspectors of Factories. Work has been taking place at international and national levels and investigations are being made into many possibly carcinogenic materials and the industries that manufacture or use them.
