HC Deb 04 November 1974 vol 880 c42W
33. Mr. Onslow

asked the Secretary of State for Wales if he remains satisfied with the measures that have been taken to prevent pollution of the waters of the Seiont river and Llanberris lake by the CEGB's Dinorwic scheme; and if he will make a statement.

Mr. John Morris

It is for the Central Electricity Generating Board to satisfy the Welsh National Water Development Authority that the works involved in this scheme make adequate provision for the avoidance of pollution. The provisions of the North Wales Hydro-Electric Power Act 1973 safeguards the authority's interests including those relating to the prevention of pollution.
