HC Deb 04 November 1974 vol 880 c81W
Mr. Wm. Ross

asked the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland if he will make a statement on the situation in the beef industry in Northern Ireland.

Mr. Moyle

It is appreciated that the beef industry, which is a particularly important sector of Northern Ireland's agriculture, is facing serious problems. It is hoped, however, that the statement made in the debate on the Address on 31st October—[Vol. 880, c. 406–419.]—by my right hon. Friend the Minister of Agriculture will restore the confidence of Northern Ireland beef producers and breeding herd owners.
