Mr. Sproat

asked the Secretary of State for Energy if he will now authorise the Offshore Oil Supplies Office in Glasgow to open an office in Aberdeen.

Mr. Varley

The headquarters of the Offshore Supplies Office is to be located in Glasgow and I shall continue to look out for opportunities for increasing employment in Scotland, subject to the operational needs of my Department.
