§ Mr. Heseltineasked the Secretary of State for Trade if he will set out in tabular form the following information about each of the nationalised industries for which he is responsible for each year since nationalisation; the turnover, the number of employees, the average earnings of those employees, the profit or loss, the amount of any capital written off, the value of exports, the total capital employed, the return on capital employed and the amount and source of the capital invested annually.
§ Mr. Clinton DavisI would refer the hon. Member to the published reports and accounts of the industries concerned, which are laid before Parliament and kept in the Library of the House, and where he may find as much of this information as is readily available. The information requested is not, however, readily available for the earlier years of the air corporations' activities and could be obtained only at disproportionate cost.
