§ Mr. Newensasked the Secretary of State for the Environment if he will ask new town corporations and the New 378W Towns Commission to assist district councils in meeting the responsibilities to be tranferred to them for dealing with homelessness from the county councils by ceasing to evict families with children at risk.
§ Mr. John SilkinI would expect corporations and the commission to follow the advice given about evictions and rent arrears in paragraphs 2 to 4 of the appendix to DOE Circular 18/74, of which I am sending my hon. Friend a copy.
