§ 53. Mr. MacGregorasked the Secretary of State for Prices and Consumer Protection if she will list those world food prices which are lower than prevailing Community prices.
§ Mr. MaclennanWorld and EEC food prices are difficult to compare because of wide differences in the qualities of products, in grading and in methods of presentation of foodstuffs from various sources. At present some varieties of bacon, lard and tomatoes are available at lower prices from non-EEC countries; New Zealand butter is also cheaper.
