HC Deb 22 May 1974 vol 874 cc185-7W
Mr. Cryer

asked the Secretary of State for the Environment if he will make available to objectors copies of the 25 inch to one mile maps used by the North Eastern Road Construction Unit for the proposed Aire Valley motorway.

Mr. Carmichael

Provisional maps may be seen during working hours at the Road Construction Unit in Harrogate. The detailed design to this scale will not be settled until the route has been fixed.

Mr. Cryer

asked the Secretary of State for the Environment if he will publish in the OFFICIAL REPORT details of alternative routes to the proposed Aire Valley motorway.

Mr. Carmichael

No. This would only add to the blighting effects inevitably caused by publication of the current proposals.

Mr. Cryer

asked the Secretary of State for the Environment (1) if he will publish in the OFFICIAL REPORT the present total traffic flows between Skipton and Kild-wick, Kildwick and Steeton, Steeton-Silsden and Keighley, Keighley and Bingley, Bingley and Shipley and Shipley and Bradford inner ring road;

(2) if he will publish in the OFFICIAL REPORT the total traffic flows on other principal roads in Airedale.

Mr. Carmichael
