asked Her Majesty's Government:

Whether, since neither are constitutional or democratic Governments, they will explain the differences, as interpreted by them, between the military junta in Portugal and that in Athens.

LORD GORONWY-ROBERTS

The new regime in Portugal have released political prisoners, permitted the Press to operate freely, appointed a provisional Government representing a wide range of political opinions, and undertaken to hold free elections within a year.
