HC Deb 21 May 1974 vol 874 cc76-7W
Mr. Rooker

asked the Secretary of State for Employment if he is satisfied with the operation of the Fair Wages Resolution 1946; and if he will make a statement.

Mr. Booth

I realise that the circumstances in which the Fair Wages Resolution was passed by the House of Commons in 1946 were different from those which exist today. The Government would be prepared to discuss these arrangements with the TUC and CBI in the wider context of collective bargaining.
