HC Deb 21 May 1974 vol 874 cc74-5W
Rear-Admiral Morgan-Giles

asked the Secretary of State for Defence whether his attention has been drawn to the letter dated 20th June 1973 from Mr. Speaker concerning Service voting; and what steps he intends to take to overhaul the present system of registration for Service voters and their wives.

Mr. Mason

The introduction of the legislation which is necessary to give effect to the proposals made in Cmnd. 5363 would be a matter for my right hon. Friend the Secretary of State for the Home Department. The Ministry of Defence is taking all necessary steps to ensure that Service men are aware and take advantage of the existing facilities for Service registration.
