§ Mr. David Steelasked the Secretary of State for the Environment if he will agree to meet the Scottish section of the Federation of Civil Engineering Contractors to discuss ways of containing the increase in cement prices in Scotland.
§ Mr. FreesonThe increases in the price of cement which have been allowed by the Price Commission in respect of individual cement manufacturers are no higher in Scotland than elsewhere in the United Kingdom, and in the circumstances I do not think a meeting of this kind could be helpful.
