§ Mr. Kilroy-Silkasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer if he will seek powers to prevent British subjects from transferring substantial assets to the Isle of Man for the purposes of tax avoidance.
§ Dr. GilbertThe law already provides general powers to counter avoidance of tax by means of transfers of assets out of the United Kingdom. If my hon. Friend has any specific avoidance devices in mind, I will be glad to have them looked into.
