asked the Secretary of State for Energy what consideration he is giving to priority uses of oil for purposes where there is no viable alternative fuel.

Since the suspension of restrictions on oil deliveries users should have no difficulty in obtaining the oil they need. In considering fuel policy and contingency plans for future oil emergencies full account will be taken of requirements for priority uses of oil for purposes where there is no viable alternative fuel.
