HC Deb 20 May 1974 vol 874 c7W
Mr. Shersby

asked the Secretary of State for Trade what steps he is taking specifically designed to promote trade with Europe.

Mr. Deakins

The British Overseas Trade Board is actively engaged in drawing the attention of industry to export opportunities wherever they arise and in implementing trade promotion programmes agreed with industry. Of the 19 major markets identified by the board as part of this activity, 11 are in Europe. The board is advised by the European Trade Committee on particular problems and aspects of the promotional effort in Europe.
