HL Deb 07 May 1974 vol 351 cc484-5WA
LORD O'HAGAN

asked Her Majesty's Government:

What steps they intend to take to explain the Common Agricultural Policy of the E.E.C. to the British people.

LORD WELLS-PESTELL

Information is already available about the Common Agricultural Policy in official publications, particularly in the White Paper onThe United Kingdom and the European Communities (Cmnd. 4715) and in an excellent booklet issued by the Office of the E.E.C. in London. Her Majesty's Government have indicated to the British people those aspects of that policy which they find unsatisfactory and will keep them informed of their specific proposals for improvement of the Common Agricultural Policy in the context of renegotiation.
