asked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food what is the number of cases of wart disease affecting King Edward potatoes that were known to his Department in 1973 (a) in privately-owned gardens and (b) on farms.

There were eight officially confirmed cases of wart disease in England and Wales in 1973 affecting the variety King Edward of which five were in privately-owned gardens, one on an allotment, and two on farms.
