§ Mr. David Steelasked the Secretary of State for Social Services (1) if she will ask health departments to consider the feasibility of providing pregnancy testing facilities in addition to those services already provided at National Health Service hospitals;
(2) if she will set up an inquiry into the desirability of licensing private pregnancy testing laboratories.
§ Dr. OwenThe Lane Committee which was set up by the previous Government made recommendations on these matters but before reaching any decisions we intend to conduct extensive consultations on these and other recommendations in the report.
