§ Mr. Christopher Priceasked the Secretary of State for the Home Department if he will make arrangements to ensure that the municipal elections in the London Borough of Lewisham on 2nd May are adequately manned, in view of the refusal of the staff to act as polling officers and counting staff.
§ Dr. SummerskillThe conduct of the elections is the responsibility of the returning officer. I do not think that it would be appropriate for me to say more in view of the negotiations that are now proceeding.
