HC Deb 03 May 1974 vol 872 c290W
Mr. Churchill

asked the Secretary of State for Social Services what is the estimated cost of replacing all three-wheeled vehicles for the disabled with converted minicars.

Mr. Alfred Morris

The capital cost of replacing with cars all the three-wheelers at present on issue to disabled persons in England would be about £16 million. This does not include the cost of providing cars for any additional applicants who might apply or the cost of providing cars for those who at present use their own with the help of an allowance from the Department.
