asked the Secretary of State for the Environment if he will make a statement on the future scale and dates of payments of improvement grants in the light of the latest evidence of recent shortages of building labour and materials.

asked the Secretary of State for the Environment if, in his review of improvement grants, he will take into account the backlog of building work which makes it impossible for some contracts to be completed by 24th June 1974.
