Dr. Boyson

asked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs what recent representations he has received from bodies and individuals in this country against the accreditation of General Said Shazli as Egyptian Ambassador to the United Kingdom.

Since the present Government assumed office, we have received 17 letters from bodies and individual members of the public and 10 letters from Members of Parliament about General Shazli.
