§ 41. Rear-Admiral Morgan-Gilesasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer whether, in the light of his Budget Statement, he will clarify the position of the gift tax with respect to agricultural property, bearing in mind the problems which farmers are now facing in handing over their farms to their sons.
§ Dr. GilbertA gift of agricultural property will, like any other gift, be within the scope of the proposed new tax on transfers of capital, if it is made on or after 26th March.
