Mr. Newens

asked the Secretary of State for Energy if he will introduce legislation to renationalise ancillary undertakings previously owned by the National Coal Board which were sold off to private enterprise since 1970.

My right hon. Friend will consider at the appropriate time what action is needed to fulfil our commitment towards such undertakings
