§ Mr. BuchanThere are no statistics showing the number of beef cattle slaughtered at knackers' yards, but our inquiries have not revealed any significant national increase. I am, however, aware of increases in certain areas where considerable numbers of animals have been outwintered in circumstances which have led to a loss of condition.
