HC Deb 02 May 1974 vol 872 cc536-7W
Mr. Marquand

asked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs how many helicopters have been delivered to South Africa; and whether any further deliveries will be made.

Mr. Guy Barnett

asked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs how many helicopters have been exported from the United Kingdom to South Africa since 1970; and how many still remain to be delivered.

Miss Joan Lestor

Six Westland Wasp helicopters have been delivered. An export licence for a seventh was granted before the change of Government. As regards the delivery of the seventh helicopter, I have nothing to add to what I said on 11th April.—[Vol.872, c. 328.]
