§ Mr. MacFarquharasked the Secretary of State for the Environment if he proposes to accept the suggestion by the Water Resources Board in its report of February 1974 to construct a pump storage reservoir at Aston-on-Trent.
§ Mr. Denis HowellA reservoir at Aston forms part of the preferred post-1981 strategy recommended in the Water Resources Board's report. This report has been referred to the water authorities and the National Water Council, which have been asked to advise on it by mid-1975. It will be some time, therefore, before the Government can form a view on this strategy.
