HC Deb 02 May 1974 vol 872 cc520-1W
Mr. Cormack

asked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food whether he will take every possible step to ensure that British customers are not prevented from buying clean plucked poultry after 1980.

Mr. Moyle

The present terms of EEC Directive 71/118 would require domestic trade in uneviscerated poultry, other than sales at the farm gate, to end by February 1976, but my right hon. Friend is seeking to defer the application of the directive to this trade until February 1982.
