§ Mr. Carterasked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food if he will introduce legislation to ensure that the contents of all pet foods are adequately and accurately displayed on thir containers and packaging so that purchasers are aware of the source of such contents.
§ Mr. MoyleThe conditions governing the sale of pet foods are among matters under discussion within the European Economic Community in conection with the harmonisation of legislation on animal feeding stuffs. The Pet Food Manufacturers' Association recommends that a declaration of ingredients should he shown on labels and I understand that the major manufacturers do so.
