Mr. Arthur Lewis

asked the Secretary of State for the Home Department whether he will ensure that investigation into the operation and procedures adopted by the Special Branch in the Lennon affair will include the part played by the Director of Public Prosecutions; and whether the Attorney-General and the Law Officers of the Crown were apprised thereof.

I have been in touch with the Director of Public Prosecutions for the purpose of obtaining information about the facts of the case so far as his Department was concerned. I shall make a further statement about the case as soon as Possible.
