asked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs if he will make a statement on his policy towards Malaysia.

It is Her Majesty's Government's policy to maintain and develop our present close and friendly relations with Malaysia. We believe that the forthcoming State visit of the Yang di-Pertuan Agong from 9th to 12th July will further this policy.
