§ Mr. Arthur Lewisasked the Lord President of the Council when he expects to receive the report of the Boyle Committee on the Second Review of Mem- 228W bers of Parliament's salaries and conditions; and whether, as a matter of urgency, he will request the committee to consider pension rights of Members of Parliament being placed on the same basis as civil servants.
Lord PresidentNo reference on Members' salaries has yet been made to the Top Salaries Review Body, and the Government will have to consider the possibility. If a review is undertaken it will be for the Review Body to decide whether to recommend any changes in the Members' pension scheme.
