§ Mr. McNamaraasked the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland when he intends to introduce legislation to provide for the arrangements for holding by-elections to the Northern Ireland Assembly.
§ Mr. Merlyn ReesI intend in the very near future to lay before Parliament an 203W order, made under Section 2(5) of the Northern Ireland Assembly Act 1973, as applied by Section 29(1) of the Northern Ireland Constitution Act 1973. This order will prescribe the timetable and rules for any by-election to the Assembly.
