22. Mr. Hayhoe

asked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs whether he has had any consultations with other Governments about his policy of renegotiating the terms of British entry to the EEC.

Mr. James Callaghan

Yes. I have had useful discussions with members of the German Government, including Chancellor Brandt and Herr Scheel, and also with the Netherlands Foreign Minister. I am considering further visits.

28. Mrs. Renée Short

asked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs what timetable he proposes for the renegotiation of the Common Market terms.
