§ The Prime MinisterI met a deputation from the Scottish TUC, including representatives of the federated house chapels of Beaverbrook Newspapers in Glasgow, last Thursday, when they told me of their concern about the prospective loss of jobs if the Beaverbrook plant in Glasgow were to close. I promised to look closely at their representations in the light of the further talks which my right hon. Friends were to have with representatives of the unions involved and the management. My right hon. Friend the Secretary of State for Trade will be making a further statement in the House shortly.
